Enjoy free family-friendly games like bubble soccer, giant checkers, and more with Joint Training Facility! The Cumberland Mermaid Pod will be on hand to create some face-painting magic, and Mountain City Center for the Arts will perform. And don’t miss the famous pie-eating contest, with pies donated by the iconic Frostburg diner the Princess Restaurant!

What’s an outdoor event without great music? The Bobby Preston Amphitheater will be alive with music throughout the day from The Hounded – blending rock and country, Gilbert Lee & the Ghost on the Radio – an eclectic indie-rock band, and The Jakob’s Ferry Stragglers – known for old-time, bluegrass, country, jazz, rockabilly and swing.

Bring the whole family for a full day of outdoor fun in the beautiful Hoffman Hollow Park, tucked in amongst the trees of Mountain Maryland. Check out delicious local food vendors, grab a brew from the beer truck, indulge in some retail therapy with over 20 craft and artisan vendors, and so much more. All while supporting FrostburgFirst’s efforts in downtown revitalization!

Are you a competitor? Test your BBQ skills and enter the official KCBS Backyard BBQ Competition, held before the public event. Attendees can get a taste of the competition with our People’s Choice Tasting Tent – but supplies are limited! So get to the event early and purchase a Tasting Ticket to vote for your favorite! Watch the award ceremony and see who wins this year’s accolades – and all the cash prizes!

All proceeds from Pig Out in the Park go to the nonprofit FrostburgFirst: A Maryland Main Street Community. Your ticket purchase directly supports FrostburgFirst’s efforts towards downtown revitalization, promoting small businesses, engaging the community, and making Frostburg a beautiful and thriving city to live, work, and visit.
